Meet Chuando Tan, The Singaporean who ‘Never Ages’. Here Are His Diet and Workout Routine

Chuando Tan, a fashion photographer from Singapore, is well-known for his compelling portraits of both himself and his subjects. What’s so astonishing about Tan is that he appears significantly younger than his 58 years of age thanks to his toned abs and youthful face.

His entry into the world of imaging started in the 1980s as a model. In the 1990s, he even sang pop songs for a little while before turning to photography.
Ten or so years ago, Tan created ChuanDo & Frey, an Instagram account for the studio he co-founded with photographer Frey Ow. On the account, he shared a number of eye-catching self-portraits with thought-provoking captions.
His age-defying appearance swiftly captured attention online. His Instagram account has more than 1.5 million followers.

There was plenty of speculation about his youthful looks; some commenters attributed them to genetic inheritance, while others lauded the purported benefits of Singapore’s air, superior healthcare infrastructure, and access to premium products.
Chuando Tan’s daily diet
Tan believes that what we eat has considerable influence over how we feel and how we look. Our diet accounts for 70 per cent of our physical and mental well-being, he believes, with physical activity contributing the rest.
In the morning he usually has six hard-boiled eggs, but he only eats four of the yolks to control his cholesterol. He occasionally eats berries and avocado with the eggs.
For the other meals Tan prefers eating grilled veggies, fish soup chicken and rice. He occasionally indulges in ice cream. He stays hydrated by drinking lots of water and avoids tea and coffee.
If you ask him what’s his favorite food he answers that “maintaining our overall well-being requires protein” and would choose a clear soup dish that had veggies and some kind of protein in it.

Chuando Tan’s exercise routine
Tan’s exercise routine focuses on strength training, with three or four resistance training sessions lasting 30-45 minutes each, weekly. In addition, he does cardio by swimming, walking or some jogging. He says that he does cardio every day.

For supplements he says he uses vitamin C because it is a potent antioxidant that is essential for body renewal and repair.
Some advice for longevity and healthy life that Tan would recommend :
– Use compound exercises. Exercises like squats, lunges, bench presses, and pull-ups simultaneously engage several muscular groups. According to studies, these quick workouts increase calorie expenditure, enhance and develop intermuscular coordination, strengthen the core, and increase muscle mass.
– To enable the production of vitamin D, spend adequate time in the sun. However, excessive sun exposure might hasten the aging process. Tan says that the finest periods are in the early morning or late at night.
– Develop your bonds with those you love. According to research, social support is the best defense against depression in addition to making us feel included and cared for.
– He emphasizes the need of keeping a happy and positive mindset above all else. “Mindset plays a crucial role in shaping one’s path,” according to Tan, and optimism has significant anti-aging effects. Being positive and optimistic reduces stress, it can help lessen the negative consequences of aging and improve overall quality of life.
Chuando Tan is a fascinating example of how a combination of healthy lifestyle habits and genetics can help counteract aging.
Although it is unlikely that everyone will achieve the same results, a healthy diet, regular exercise, stress management, and maintaining balance in life can have extremely positive effects on health and appearance.
