One of the most common questions I get on plant-based eating is on how to encourage men to embrace more healthy, plant-centric meals. I hear this question at conferences where I present, over social media direct messages, and in person within my community. There’s a lot to unpack when it comes to social messages for guys around reducing meat intake. There is no need for plant-based eating to be wimpy and unsatisfying. My simple advice is to make plant dishes taste and look delicious! Plants provide so much flavor, color, texture, and aroma to any meal. And men can benefit in unique ways from eating a more plant-based diet. The top disease killers among men include heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s—all of which have a direct link with diet. Hundreds of studies have linked eating a more plant-based diet with protection against these chronic diseases. So, there is a lot to gain from including plant-based meals during the week. So, in honor of all of the fabulous men out there, I put together this amazing collection of guy-friendly plant-based recipes from some of my favorite bloggers, as well as my own repertoire, sure to capture the attention of all the men out there.
