before and after |
What can you do in a thirty-day transformation?
You can do quite a bit!
Sometimes you just need a kick in the booty. Some structure. A plan.
Having a plan in hand and the support of a trainer who created the program will set yourself up for changes. Healthy changes, changes you will crave. But you have to do the work. Get uncomfortable. What worked the last time you tried to lose weight didn’t work long term. Your body is in a constant state of change, so make health a priority. The value of health is far beyond the cost of a program, a health coach, and the work.
I had a friend come to visit, whom I hadn’t seen in a few years. It was clear she had lost weight. But sadly, the weight she lost was due to a health crisis. Unhealthy habits, instead of healthy habits. I noticed a complete change in her eating habits, but the urge to smoke was still nagging her. After surviving a serious health crisis, she knew she had to change her eating habits. I did my best to give her some guidance. I have to say, not only did I notice her change in weight and change in diet, but a change in her cognition. Her brain was showing signs of the trauma, the years of poor eating, the lack of exercise, and smoking. That fact made me the saddest. My dear friend struggled to walk, stay orientated to space, and focus. She even took a pretty good trip and fall on the pier as we went sightseeing.
It’s Never Too Early or Too Late To Work Towards The Healthiest YOU!
So you may purchase the program to get ready for a special event, which is fine. But continue on once the dress fits and the party is over because you have a future and a healthy body to live in.
I really wish I could do more for my friend. I wanted to line out a plan for healing. A plan she will never get from a doctor or physical therapist. The Health Coach in me wanted to help her. Her brain needs healing and she is the only person who can implement that healing. You can only help those who are willing to take help.
Taking an honest look at yourself and making it a priority to be your own authentic self can be hard. But remember, you are your best investment and cutting the facade is vital to true growth and pristine health.
As I communicated my concern in the way I hoped she would hear it, she did admit to me she just hadn’t felt like herself. THIS was huge for her. She told me something was off.
I am concerned about my friend…
As we packed up the car to sightseeing, I realized I was wearing the same exact outfit I was wearing 6 years ago when we were together. Even the same shoes. She was decked out in brand new clothes, shoes, the works. She shared with me that she gets her hair “blown out” every week and colored every 4 weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I love having my hair done and it’s all about priorities. I have three kids, she had none. My kids are a priority, they get the new stuff. I just want to feel healthy and full of energy no matter what I’m wearing. It’s what moms do. But you know what, exercising costs nothing, and feels amazing! I would rather feel good in my body than anything. I am highly motivated. Being a Trainer and Health Coach, my education is a priority. Starting abreast of the latest in health and fitness and sharing with my clients is what drives me.
Find what drives you. Don’t wait until you have a health crisis. Treat your health like you do your highest priority. Health is a gift every day. One you will miss if you lose it.
