Want to know the best workouts on Beachbody on Demand/BODI in 2022? Well, keep reading because I’m covering everything you need to know, to get the most out of your membership going forward.
What’s New on Beachbody on Demand in 2022?
The short answer is A LOT. But here’s the highlights…
They launched over 6 new fitness and nutrition programs to the platform including:
In addition to these exclusive programs, Beachbody also merged with OpenFit in spring of this year, adding a bunch of additional programs to the platform. There’s too many to mention here, but my favorites by far are XB Pilaties and Xtend Barre. Both programs have been instrumental in my own fitness journey this year.
In addition to all these amazing programs, Beachbody also launched BODI, which stands for Beachbody on Demand Interactive. These are live workouts that you can join as they occur. Of course, they are all recorded and added to the platform, so now there are literally an ENDLESS number of workouts on the platform.
The Launch of BODI Changed EVERYTHING
I’ll get into the best workout programs of 2022 on Beachbody on Demand (or now, BODI) in a moment, but it’s worth spending a minute looking at the value of these live workouts.
Here’s why they are awesome
- You don’t have to follow a specific program – you can mix it up as you like now. This works really well for those of us who get bored easily (hello, ADHD).
- The workouts are ALL 30 minutes long, so you’re in and out fast.
- The workouts are all done live by BODI supertrainers, so it’s always professional, well produced and a great workout experience.
- They bring people together with a backdrop of screens showing real people doing the workout, live. You can opt to be a part of this audience, but don’t worry – they won’t capture you unless you opt in for it.
The element of surprise and novelty are REALLY important to me because I want to workout everyday. Having new workouts added daily has made me fall in love with Beachbody all over again. It’s simply the best value on the market – by a long shot.
So what where the best Beachbody workouts in 2022?
That’s obviously subjective, but I’ll break it down based on interest:
If you want to build muscle
The best workout so far is Sure Thing. Megan is an expert trainer and infuses here workout design with a science-backed approach. She’s also super fun to follow.
If you want to burn fat and “tone”
Assuming lifting heavy weights isn’t your jam, then I would recommend Barre Blend on BODI. The first Barre Blend Program launched in 2019, but now Elise Jones is releasing a bunch of live Barre Interactive Classes, based on her amazing programing. She has an incredible physique, and she’s proof that you don’t need a lot of space, equipment or jumping to get an amazing body. She gets my top billing for this year with her interactive classes. They’re so good.
If you want to build strength, lose fat and increase mobility
If that’s the case, then Fire and Flow is your best option. It’s designed by two trainers – one focuses on cardio intervals and weight lifting, while the other focuses on mobility and flexibility. If you’re looking for an all-in-one program, then look no further.
If you’re a beginner and want something fun and fat burning
Sweat and Sculpt is a great option. It’s fun, has plenty of dance moves and it’s not a ball-buster, so great for newbies. I had so much fun with this program and it made me look forward to my workouts.
Now these are my top picks, but I always encourage people to look through all the programs and start with the one that looks most interesting. This will give you the best chance of sticking with it. Trust me, once you get some momentum, it gets SO much easier to stay consistent because your body will crave workouts.
Don’t believe me?
This is my before and after. I used to be 80lbs over weight, a chain smoker and a heavy drinker. Now, I’m in my mid-50s, I feel amazing, and I never miss a workout. They are the highlight of my day, and I owe that in large part to Beachbody.
Committing to going to a gym everyday would be instant failure for me. Working out at home is easy, convenient and takes very little time. It’s also less expensive and I can be as uncoordinated as I want and it doesn’t matter how silly I look.
Best 2022 Beachbody Nutrition Options
Perhaps the thing I’m most thrilled about (besides Barre Blend BODI), is the new “Shake and Hustle” combo pack. Now you can get Shakeology and the plantbased Energize pre-workout in one bundle price that’s the lowest I’ve seen yet.
I love this because previously, you had to buy the pre-workout (my favorite Beachbody supplement) either by itself or with the protein. The protein powder is great, but I’d prefer the extra benefits you get from Shakeology, so this bundle is brilliant.
What if you’re brand new to Beachbody?
The best option hands down is starting with the BOD/BODI subscription – this gives you access to the pre-recorded full programs, AND all the live workouts. I also think you should try the Shake and Hustle with it because it’s the lowest price you’ll pay for supplements by far.
This will cover you for the first 30 days. From that point, you can opt to cancel the supplements, or change them. Otherwise, they’ll show up at your door once a month. Some people love this, some don’t.
You’ll have access to BOD and BODI for the full year, so that’s a no-brainer.
Got any questions? I’m here to help if you do.
Cheers
